10 minute and $2.15 per serve meal that even the kids will eat!

Such a quick and easy dinner that all my kids love! The whole dish is ready in less than 10 minutes and is gluten and dairy free. Only 5 ingredients and you'll most likely already have them in your cupboard. Best part is it's budget friendly!

You will need:

1 pack 325g gluten free spaghetti (normal is fine too and any pasta variety will work) $4.50

1 large head of broccoli or 2 small $1.50 (they were on special for $2.90 per kilo at Coles when I made this)

Juice from one lemon (free from my backyard)

1 425g tin serena tuna in olive oil ($6.50 from Coles however you can get cheaper brands)

3-4 garlic cloves finely chopped (worked out to be about 40c)

Total cost $12.90, $2.15 per serve!

If you used regular home brand spaghetti and home brand tuna you could get this down to $6.70 in total and $1.12 per serve!!

Optional: salt and pepper, fresh chilli and parmesan cheese to serve

Directions:

1. Cook the pasta according to packet directions. When there is about 3 minutes remaining of cooking time, add the broccoli on top to steam. If you don't have a steamer you can also throw the broccoli in with the pasta to cook.

2. While that's cooking, in a pan fry the garlic in the oil from the tuna can. After 30 seconds add the tuna and lemon juice and stir til warmed through.

3. Drain the pasta and broccoli and pour into a large bowl. Pour the tuna mixture over and use tongs to mix it through.

Serves 6. Delish! 🥦
